LUGZ STRIKES LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH A JEM FOR ITS T-SHIRTS AND FLEECE TOPS

New York, NY – LUGZ Footwear, a leader in the brown shoe arena, announces an exclusive deal granting Jem Sportswear the rights to act as a licensee for LUGZ T-shirts and fleece tops. Jem Sportswear harbors a vast national distribution network collaborating with companies such as: Anheuser-Busch, Inc and Disney Enterprises, Inc. Jem, a $55 million, privately held company in business since 1970 ships approximately 13 million T-shirts per year. The new alliance allows for a beneficial partnership as LUGZ will take advantage of Jem’s garment producing expertise while Jem gets the opportunity to dive into the intricate world of urban fashion courtesy of their most recent licensor.

LUGZ T-shirts and fleece tops will initially include Mens and specialty large sizes that will embody the look, feel and image of the dynamic Spring 2001 footwear line. The apparel will be featured at the upcoming Magic Show, February 13-16, 2001 taking place at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV. LUGZ will have a conference area located in the Jem Sportwear booth #YM 15204 (Young Men’s Section) at the premiere apparel showcase. This highly anticipated line will hit stores April 2001.

As stated by Jack Schwartz, president of LUGZ Footwear, “We wanted a licensee with a unique, up-to-date approach synonymous with the LUGZ brand.” Due to receiving an overwhelming amount of requests for LUGZ clothing from consumers and retailers through www.lugz.com and other mediums, LUGZ will now turn its attention to licensing other categories in apparel throughout 2001.
